TENTATIVE PERSILAT PROGRAMS 2007

 

MEETING THE FOUNDING OF PERSILAT

On the 13th January 2007, PERSILAT had held a founding countries meeting which attended by the leaders of Pencak Silat from the founding countries. The meeting was held at the PERSILAT office, Padepokan Pencak Silat Indonesia.

The meeting lead by the President of PERSILAT Mr. Eddie Nalapraya and attended by Mr. Rahmat Gobel Chairman of IPSI, YAB Dato seri Utama Haji Muhamad, President of PESAKA also Deputy President of PERSILAT, Mr. Abdullah Shafie Mohd Sidik who is President of PERSISI and deputy president of PERSILAT. And representatives from
other founder countries as Brunei Darussalam.

The meeting dwelled on the 2007 working plan and discussed possible support for Pencak Silat to enter the Regional and International championship such as Asian Games and the Olympic. In that meeting also delivered the report of PERSILAT
activities during December 2004 to December 2006.

The meeting made recommendations on the promotion of Pencak Silat to become one of the officials sport in the Asian games and Olympic as state in the vision and mission of Pencak Silat. And therefore PERSILAT is now working on the
socialization of the Pencak Silat to be hustled in the Asian indoor games 2009 in Hanoi, Vietnam and continued on the Asian games XVI-2010 in Beijing, China.
